Álvaro Aramburu (Madrid, 1991)
After training as an industrial designer in Spain, my artistic career began when I moved to a small village in the Swedish forest. There I embraced wood as my medium, distanced myself from industrial products, and reinvented my creative process. Ever since I have designed and produced both functional and artistic objects, with furniture as the cornerstone of my craft and timber as the raw material. My sculptural work shares the same interest in functionality, but shown through useless objects which question their own stability.
